On our Iberian Quest motorcycle tours through Andalucía, some roads give more than just curves—they give you moments to stop, breathe, and take it all in. One of those is El Mirador del Boquete de Ventas, where Málaga ends and Granada begins.
From this viewpoint, the landscape unfolds in every direction: the rolling hills of La Axarquía malagueña to the north and the rugged peaks of the Sierra de Almijara and Tejeda to the west. It’s a scene that makes you feel both grounded and free, perched between provinces and mountains.
Just steps away lies Ventas de Zafarraya, once home to the last railway station built in 1922, a line that ran until 1960. It’s a place where history lingers, even as the road calls us forward.
For riders, the approach to the mirador is pure joy—sweeping bends and elevation that reward you with views worth every stop. It’s one of those essential pauses that define what Iberian Quest is all about: adventure, freedom, and unforgettable moments in the heart of Andalucía.
